We welcome early-stage startups with a tech-driven approach, a clear problem-solution hypothesis, and a meaningful sustainability or climate contribution to their industry. While we have a strong network in AgTech & Bioeconomy, startups from all sectors are encouraged to apply.

Startups that are located in, or willing to develop their business in, Lower Saxony can access NBank grant funding on top of the program. The following criteria apply:
No. CIIL welcomes startups from across Germany and internationally. However, startups that are based in Lower Saxony or are willing to establish an office in the region may be eligible for additional public funding.
Eligible startups may receive non-dilutive grants of up to €180,000 or €300,000, depending on the funding scheme and the startup’s stage of development.
Not necessarily. Participation in CIIL can be flexible and hybrid. However, startups interested in the regional grant funding may need to establish a presence in Lower Saxony.
CIIL focuses primarily on incubation, mentoring, and validation. However, we help startups prepare for funding opportunities and connect them with investors and funding programs.
CIIL offers a flexible and tailored support program rather than a fixed curriculum. Startups receive customized guidance depending on their stage, technology, and market needs. A key feature is the involvement of industry experts who provide real market insights and validation.
